WHY ORGANIC BEEKEEPING BY ROLFS HONIG?
Because every bee colony deserves it.
Bees do a lot of good throughout their lives. They do it simply because it is their mission in life. The whole world benefits from this. It is clear that the health of the animals has top priority in beekeeping. Bees deserve respect and species-appropriate care. For Rolf's honey, therefore, unnatural practices to increase yields are excluded. Absolutely taboo are the use of antibiotics and chemical agents or migratory beekeeping, in which bee colonies are constantly relocated to work through various flowering periods.
Rolf's bee colonies have their permanent locations in the countryside, far away from pesticide-polluted monocultures. Here, they can benefit from the beekeeper's conscious handling and naturally follow their destiny.

Products & Services
First harvest in May:
It is mostlly nectar of the Horse Chestnut tree (Aesculus hippocastanum)
It hase a malty, caramal kind of taste (the jar with the red label).
The second harvest in June:
It contains mostly nectar of the Acacia tree (Robinia pseudoacacia). It is very clear and it has a very sweet and mild taste. It is great to sweeten fruit salads. (Jar with dark label)
The third harvest we offer is of a tree that is called Lime Tree (Tilia) in the UK. The name in english was very confusing to me, because if a german thinks of Lime, he would think of a citrus tree like lemon or orange.
